Our physicians have diverse clinical backgrounds, multilingual expertise, and a shared passion for providing compassionate, inclusive, and evidence-based care to women across the MetroWest area of Massachusetts.

Kara Deaver Chang, MD

Dr. Kara Deaver Chang is a board-certified OB/GYN who has been part of About Women By Women since 2010. Originally from the Midwest, she provides care for women at every stage of life, from adolescence through perimenopause and menopause.

Dr. Chang sees patients at both the Wellesley and Walpole office locations.

She completed both her medical degree and OB/GYN residency at Northwestern University in Chicago. She practiced as an attending obstetrician/gynecologist in downtown Chicago before relocating to the Boston area.

Her clinical interests include adolescent health, contraceptive counseling, preconception care, and minimally invasive office-based procedures.

Outside of work, she loves spending time at home with her husband, their two children, and two cats. She enjoys an active family life, cheering on her children at soccer and tennis matches, traveling, staying active, and exploring new foods and culinary experiences.

Sarah K. Cryer, MD

Dr. Sarah Cryer joined About Women by Women in 2020 and cares for patients from adolescence through menopause and beyond. She values long-term relationships with her patients, taking the time to understand their concerns and provide compassionate, personalized care.

Dr. Cryer sees patients at the Wellesley clinic.

Dr. Cryer is a graduate of Hamilton College and earned her medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Connecticut in Hartford and Farmington, where she developed a strong foundation in both routine and complex women’s health care.

Her clinical interests include complex obstetric care, management of abnormal uterine bleeding, perimenopausal care, and minor gynecologic surgery.

Outside the office, Dr. Cryer loves spending time with her husband, their son, and their miniature dachshund. She enjoys baking, reading, and attending theater performances.

Jane Magida, MD

Dr. Jane Magida graduated from Columbia University in New York before earning her Master’s in Biomedical Science and her medical degree from Tufts University in Boston. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Connecticut in Hartford and Farmington and joined About Women by Women in 2022.

Dr. Magida cares for patients across all areas of obstetrics and gynecology, with clinical interests in family planning, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, and obstetric care.

Dr. Magida sees patients at both the Wellesley and Millis office locations. She is fluent in Spanish and values being able to communicate directly with patients in their preferred language.

She lives in West Roxbury with her partner and their very spoiled dog. Outside work, she spends her time knitting, reading, and working through crossword puzzles.

Sharon Margulies, MD

Dr. Sharon Margulies has cared for many of her patients for more than 30 years, creating long-term relationships rooted in trust and consistency. She provides comprehensive office-based gynecologic care and has a particular passion for helping women navigate perimenopause and menopause.

Dr. Margulies sees patients at the Wellesley clinic.

A graduate of Wesleyan University and Boston University School of Medicine, Dr. Margulies completed her OB/GYN residency at Beth Israel Medical Center in Boston.

Dr. Margulies specializes in in-office procedures, such as hysteroscopy and uterine polyp removal. She additionally provides aesthetic treatments like Botox and Restylane for her patients.

Beyond the clinic, Dr. Margulies enjoys playing pickleball, traveling with her husband, and visiting her daughters. She is especially proud of raising two strong, intelligent, and independent women, a personal accomplishment she considers her greatest life achievement.

Charlotte Page, MD

Dr. Charlotte Page is proud to care for patients in the community where she grew up. Originally from Winchester, MA, she went on to study at Yale College and later earned her medical degree from Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Page sees patients at both the Wellesley and Walpole locations.

She completed her OB/GYN residency at Duke University in Durham, NC, graduating in 2020. She joined the About Women By Women team in 2023.

Dr. Page provides comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care, with clinical interests that include minimally invasive gynecological surgery and the evaluation and management of abnormal uterine bleeding.

She especially enjoys supporting patients through pregnancy and finds it deeply rewarding to be part of their journey toward healthy, happy births.

Outside of her clinical work, Dr. Page enjoys reading, staying active on her Peloton, and spending time with her husband and their cat.

Stanislava Portnoy, MD

Dr. Stanislava Portnoy brings more than two decades of experience in obstetrics and gynecology to About Women By Women. She joined the practice in 2016 after building a thriving career in the MetroWest area since 2004.

Dr. Portnoy sees patients at both the Wellesley and Natick office locations.

Originally from Kiev, Ukraine, she graduated from Harvard University and later earned her medical degree from New York Medical College. She completed her OB/GYN residency at NewYork–Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center in Manhattan.

Dr. Portnoy cares for women through all stages of life, especially during pregnancy and childbirth. Her clinical interests include contraception counseling, management of abnormal Pap smears, and the treatment of abnormal uterine bleeding.

Fluent in Russian, Dr. Portnoy values strong communication and strives to make every patient feel understood and supported. Outside the office, she stays busy as a devoted mother to her three children.

Kumiko Tanaka, MD

Dr. Kumiko Tanaka joined About Women By Women in 2024 and is delighted to be practicing in the community where she grew up. She is a graduate of the University of Rochester and earned her medical degree from the University of Southern California. She went on to complete her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, finishing her training in 2018.

Dr. Tanaka sees patients at the Wellesley clinic.

Dr. Tanaka cares for women across all stages of life. She specialises in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, including advanced robotic techniques. She values thoughtful, collaborative conversations with her patients and strives to make each visit informative, reassuring, and empowering.

Fluent in Japanese, Dr. Tanaka brings an additional layer of accessibility and connection for patients who prefer care in their native language. When she’s not in the office, she enjoys gardening and spending time with her husband and children.

Georgia Vasilakis, MD

Dr. Georgia Vasilakis brings nearly two decades of dedicated experience to About Women By Women, where she has been a valued member of the team since 2005.

Dr. Vasilakis sees patients at both the Wellesley and Natick locations.

A graduate of Barnard College/Columbia University, she earned her medical degree at Harvard Medical School and completed her residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. Before joining the practice, she cared for patients on the North Shore.

Dr. Vasilakis provides comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care. She is known for her thoughtful clinical insight and her calm, reassuring approach to care.

Dr. Vasilakis has particular expertise in supporting women through perimenopause and menopause and caring for those navigating more complex pregnancies. Her clinical interests include the evaluation and management of abnormal Pap smear results and the treatment of abnormal uterine bleeding.

Fluent in both Greek and Spanish, Dr. Vasilakis is committed to making her patients feel understood and empowered in their healthcare decisions. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her family.

Meet Our Nurses

Megan Dolan, NP

Megan Dolan is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross and the MGH Institute of Health Professions. She has been a nurse practitioner at About Women by Women since 2007 and provides care for women through adolescence to menopause.

Megan sees patients at the Wellesley clinic.

Megan values the meaningful connections she forms with her patients and enjoys learning from the diverse group of women she serves. Her approach is warm, attentive, and centered on helping women feel supported and informed about their health.

Megan and her husband have two sons. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, exercising, and spending time with her family.

Samantha “Sam” Beaulieu, RN

Samantha “Sam” Beaulieu has been a valued member of the About Women by Women care team since 2011. As a registered nurse, she is deeply committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care and supporting women through every stage of life.

Sam values building meaningful connections with patients and strives to make each interaction feel reassuring, respectful, and supportive.

She lives in Maine with her family. Sam strongly believes in maintaining balance through family, wellness, and genuine human connection, values she brings into her clinical practice every day.

Meghan “Meg” Joyce, RN

Meg has been part of the About Women By Women team since 2019. She is passionate about supporting and caring for women through all phases of life.

Known for her thoughtful and compassionate approach, Meg brings authenticity and attentiveness to every patient interaction. She is committed to helping patients feel supported and confident in their healthcare experience.

Outside of work, she enjoys Pilates, spending time with her dog, and relaxing with a good book or working on puzzles.

Brandi Smith, RN-BSN

Brandi has been a valued member of the About Women by Women team for over three years and brings nearly 15 years of experience in women’s health to her role. She genuinely enjoys every aspect of caring for women across all stages of life and is deeply committed to patient-centered, compassionate care.

In recent years, Brandi has developed a strong passion for advocacy and awareness around perinatal mental health, an area that remains underserved and still burdened by stigma. She strives to create a safe, supportive space where patients feel heard, understood, and empowered throughout their care.

Outside of work, Brandi is a busy mom to two girls. She loves animals and looks forward to summer trips to the Cape, where she enjoys relaxing and recharging with her family.
