Once you provide complete and accurate insurance information, our team will submit claims directly to your insurance carrier and receive payment for services.

Depending on your specific plan, you may be responsible for:

• Copayments
• Coinsurance
• Deductible Amounts

Your out-of-pocket costs are determined by your insurance plan. If you have questions about your statement or need help understanding a charge, our billing team is here to help.

Your insurance carrier can also give you the most up-to-date details about your benefits.

You are protected from surprise billing in certain situations. If you receive emergency care or are treated by an out-of-network provider at an in-network hospital or ambulatory surgical center, federal law limits what you can be billed.

Even when protected, you may still owe your usual out-of-pocket costs, such as a copay, coinsurance, or deductible. However, you cannot be billed for higher out-of-network rates when you do not have control over who provided your care during an emergency.

Surprise billing can happen when you:

• Receive emergency care
• Visit an in-network facility, but are unexpectedly treated by an out-of-network provider

Payments made to Newton-Wellesley Hospital are processed separately and do not cover services provided by About Women By Women. Our practice bills independently, so any payments for your visits, procedures, or care with us must be handled directly through our office.
